How do we make the most of the rest of our life?
We are people on a journey to come closer to God’s will for us. Our lives are the Gospel, sometimes the only Good News others will ever hear or see. Pray for Christ to help us bring others closer to him.

Keep our star shining brightly
Our resources parallel those of the magi, even if we do not have gold, frankincense, or myrrh. We all have something to share with others in need. And we need to have a written provision at all times for our children and families.

Silent Night
The shepherds in the field harken to the solemnness of the original Christmas Eve. The only sound was possibly the bleating of sheep and goats, but suddenly the heavenly host burst forth in praise of the new Savior born to save us all.

They shall name him Emmanuel
Jesus is birthed in Matthew’s gospel without a manger, without the fanfare of the shepherds or of the angelic hosts singing. But Matthew clearly knows the true spirit of Christmas: when we give someone the thing of their dreams, we can give nothing better. That is what God gave all humanity for Christmas, the hope of years to come, the hope of eternity with God.

Really real
Reality is illusive, and during the Christmas season we are pushed to the brink by all sorts of things distracting us from the Word made Flesh, lying in the manger, who lived and died for us. That is true reality.
